Tech Academy (Virtual ZOOM classes)

ONLINE VIRTUAL CLASSES

Tech Academy provides research-proven technology and STEM camps/classes for kids and teens ages 4-15. We believe learning should be fun, innovative, challenging and hands-on. Classes include Minecraft, Video Game Design, Programming, Engineering, Robotics, Computers and Film Making. Class links/information will be emailed approximately 1 week before the class start date.

Home Technical Requirements For All Classes:
● Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM
● Chromebooks, tablets, and phones DO NOT work.
● Internet: Broadband internet
● Webcam, Microphone, and Speakers
● Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class.
● Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard.

Registration deadlines are 1 week before each class start date. 

VIDEO PRODUCTION: YOUTUBE SHORTS & IG REELS (Grades 3-8)

Lights, camera, action! Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos like YouTube. Master quick cuts, captions, effects, and the hooks that grab viewers in the first three seconds. If you do not receive your Zoom link at least 5 days before class, please email virtual@techacademycamps.com.

Additional Technical Requirements:
● Cell phone, video camera, or external webcam
● Wondershare Filmora (download instructions and sign-up information is provided before class)

NEW! HACKING MINECRAFT (Grades: 3-7):

Hacking for Minecrafters! Learn how commands, command blocks, and server tricks really work- then use them to bend the game to your will. PC/Java edition required. Minecraft is a Mojang Studios trademark and not affiliated with this camp. If you do not receive your Zoom link at least 5 days before class, please email virtual@techacademycamps.com.

MULTIPLAYER MINECRAFT: ADVENTURE MAP BUILDER (Grades 1-5)

Team up to build a multiplayer adventure map with monster spawners, hidden armor, dungeons, and castles! Create mini-games with friends. Basic keyboarding and mouse skills needed. If you do not receive your Zoom link at least 5 days before class, please email virtual@techacademycamps.com.

KIDS THAT CODE (Grades 1-3)

Learn coding fundamentals by creating a game with unique backgrounds, characters, and interactive
storytelling! A great intro to game design in a collaborative, supportive environment. If you do not receive your
