Child & Babysitting Safety (CABS) ProgramYouth Enrichment ClassesAges 11+ Motivating and Inspiring Minds—Ariane Bromberg The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The students will receive their certification card and instructions to access a digital copy of the CABS student book at the end of class. Topics cover everything from getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, safety, safe sleep practices, caregiving, emergencies, and basic first aid. CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete the core learning objectives to receive certification, valid for two years. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen. Registration deadline is one week prior to class date. GRASP (Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program) Grades K-8Youth Enrichment ClassesGrand Rapids Academic Summer Program is a summer math and reading correspondence program that provides review exercises for children completing kindergarten through grade 8 (use 2025-2026 school year grade). Teachers and curriculum professionals developed this cost efficient substitute for traditional summer school that seeks to help students retain skills learned the past school year. Grades K-3 get a packet and grades 4-8 can choose between online or a packet. For more information visit www.grps.org/grasp. If your child goes to Lake Ripley Elementary or St. Philip's School in Litchfield, we will send home your materials through your child's school. If your child goes to school outside of Litchfield, you will be able to pick up the materials at our office (307 E 6th street, Litchfield). Home Alone!Youth Enrichment ClassesAges 8+ Motivating and Inspiring Minds—Ariane Bromberg Is your child ready for the independence of being home alone? Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a mature and well-prepared child. This class for children will address several topics relating to being “Home Alone,” including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after-school routines, phone calls and door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders, and basic first aid tips. Students attend this class independently, and parents are encouraged to review the information and discuss it with their child/children after class. In this fun and engaging children’s play, participants will learn stage directions, build confidence while creating their characters, and practice strong projection and expressive acting skills. The session wraps up with a free performance on the final day, where families are invited to come and enjoy the show! Virtual ACT Test Prep CourseYouth Enrichment Classes*For students enrolled in grades 10-12 ('25-'26 school year) Advantage Educational Programs To help students prepare for the ACT test, Advantage Educational Programs, in cooperation with Litchfield Community Education, will offer their ACT prep courses to students from Litchfield High School. Are you uneasy about your test-taking skills or unsatisfied with previous ACT results? This may be the course for you. Two different course formats allow students to choose the one that best suits their learning styles and personal circumstances. Students are also able to make up any classes they miss, and all courses may be repeated online at no additional charge. Once enrolled, students are sent an access code for their class via email.
