FREE CLASS - Grades 3 and older (parents welcome to join but not required) Join our experienced theater instructors as they delve into the diverse world of theater arts, covering everything from makeup and costumes to directing, set painting, lighting, sound, and more. This FREE class offers a unique opportunity for parents to participate alongside their children, sharing in the excitement and joy of learning together! This class is offered at two different times, with the same content covered in each session. We recommend signing up for just one time slot. Fees covered in part by a grant from the Songs of Summer. Ages 5-9 (Must have completed Kindergarten) Val Chellin Join us on an enchanting journey down the yellow brick road with Community Ed's Little Actors class as they present their delightful production of "The Wizard of Oz." Watch as beloved characters like the Tin Man, Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, and Toto bring this timeless tale to life! Throughout the program, young actors will learn basic stage directions, enhance their dramatic expressions, and hone their projection skills as they rehearse and perform this classic story. The adventure culminates in a magical 30-minute performance for friends and family on the final day.Summer 2025

Sidewalk Chalk ArtYouth Enrichment ClassesGrades 3-5 use 2024-2025 school year grade Allison & Stephanie Olstad Do you like to draw? Have you ever wanted to learn how large pieces of sidewalk chalk art are created? This camp will teach you the basics to get you started on this diverse, exciting art form. Come prepared to get dirty as we create chalk art. Participants will learn new techniques, learn to use the gridding system, and will create a large piece of their choice. Participants will be provided with a box of chalk that professional chalk artists use. Participants should also come dressed for the weather, bring a water bottle and snack and a kneeling pad. Virtual ACT Test Prep CourseYouth Enrichment Classes*For students enrolled in grades 10-12 ('25-'26 school year) Advantage Educational Programs To help students prepare for the ACT test, Advantage Educational Programs, in cooperation with Litchfield Community Education, will offer their ACT prep courses to students from Litchfield High School. Are you uneasy about your test-taking skills or unsatisfied with previous ACT results? This may be the course for you. Two different course formats allow students to choose the one that best suits their learning styles and personal circumstances. Students are also able to make up any classes they miss, and all courses may be repeated online at no additional charge. Once enrolled, students are sent an access code for their class via email.
