FALL DRAGON FOOTBALL: LHS Football Coaching Staff Fall Dragon Tackle Football Program Grades 5 & 6 (‘25-’26 Grade): The focus of the Tackle Football program is to develop the football skills of all players and improve the overall athleticism of all student athletes. All kids will play and have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of different football positions. Volunteer coaches will teach kids: tackling, blocking and play formations in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. The program will provide a helmet, shoulder pads, mouth guard and game jersey. Participants will need to provide football pants with pads. Baseball/football shoes with rubber cleats are preferred however tennis shoes work as well. Teams will meet twice a week Monday and Thursdays. All participants will receive a T-shirt, please specify size when registering (YM, YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL). *Parents are invited to help coach the 5th and 6th grade teams. Please communicate with Community Education if you are interested in helping. Litchfield is hoping to have three teams during the 2025 season. Fall Flag Football Grades 2-6 (‘25-’26 Grade): This program will provide athletes with a basic understanding of the game of football while playing flag football. Kids will work on team play and sportsmanship. They will develop the following fundamental skills: throwing, catching, running, along with learning the strategies of offense and defense. Flags will be provided. No other equipment is needed. Baseball/football shoes with rubber cleats may be worn however tennis shoes work as well. All participants will receive a T-shirt, please specify size when registering (YL, AS, AM, AL, AXL, 2XL). *Game Night Experience (Halftime of the Varsity Game) - date TBD
