Then the Private Garden is the place for you! Gardening not only encourages an active, healthy lifestyle, but it also provides a space for gardeners to come together, produce healthy food and beautifully display the fruits of their labor! Call for more details! Private Garden Plot Guidelines Do not damage other gardens with use of hoses or chemicals (watch weather conditions if you apply chemicals to your garden plot so you are only affecting your plot). Please keep your garden plot as free of weeds as possible. The pathways are the responsibility of the gardeners around it. Do not plant in the pathways and keep them as free of weeds as possible. Never leave a sprinkler unattended for an extended period of time as it can lead to flooding of gardens. Subleasing of a garden plot is not allowed. The Private Garden Plots are an inclusive environment. Please understand that not everyone has the same ideals when it comes to gardening. Be respectful of other gardeners and their gardens. Litchfield Community Education & Recreation is not liable for any lost or stolen items. Thefts can be reported to the Litchfield Police Department – (320) 693-5425. Litchfield Community Education does not maintain the gardens. If there are unrented plots, Litchfield School District grounds keepers will mow them down if their schedule allows. The City of Litchfield maintains the water spigots and they will repair them as their schedule allows.
