AirMaxx Trampoline Park Grades K-4Youth TripsSpend the day with Community Education Staff for a trip to AirMaxx Trampoline Park in St. Cloud. Show off your jumping skills while we spend 2 hours on the massive trampolines, playing dodgeball, jumping in the foam pit and see if you have what it take in the ninjas warrior course! Upon returning to the WEB, we will play games in the gym and end the day with a movie on the big screen. The YouTube “vlogger” style presentation of the video brings a youthful and high-energy spirit to the program content, and the colorful magazine format of the student book makes learning fun. From getting started with your business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete achievement of the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. PopularDC/L Youth WrestlingWrestlingYouth Wrestling Program ('24-'25 Grade): DC/L Wrestling Staff FALL Session: The DC/L Charging Dragon Wrestling program is offering multiple training sessions this Fall with a goal of improving in all three wrestling positions (Feet, Top, Bottom) in technique, drilling, sparring, and live goes! Bring a friend and have fun with the wrestling team this fall. Off-season training will make in-season champions. Winter Session: Whether you’ve been in wrestling before or not, this is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn! Charging Dragon wrestling techniques, skills, drills and games will be emphasized. Grades 3-6 will have two seasons with practices on Tuesdays & Thursdays starting on November 21 and ending on March 25. All practices will be combined with DC. The second season is for advanced wrestlers who wish to continue practicing and competing into February and March. NO REGISTRATION DEADLINE. Parents need to be sure their children have the skills and maturity to handle the responsibility safely. Whether it is for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, being trusted to be home alone can be a positive experience for a mature and well-prepared child. This class for children will address several topics relating to being “Home Alone,” including age guidelines, safe habits, house rules, after school routines, phone calls and door knocks, dog emergencies, personal safety, handling the unexpected, gun safety, severe weather, fire safety, intruders and first aid tips. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child. In this activity, anyone, not just hockey players, can participate. In Open Hockey, participants (Ages 3-9) will play a pick up style of hockey. Tech Academy (Virtual ZOOM classes)Youth Enrichment ClassesTech Academy provides research-proven technology and STEM camps/classes for kids and teens ages 4-15. We believe learning should be fun, innovative, challenging and hands-on. Classes include Minecraft, Video Game Design, Programming, Engineering, Robotics, Computers and Film Making. Tech Academy’s virtual camps feature engaging interactive instruction in a collaborative learning environment. For each session, students will also be given access to the online classroom, which will feature recordings of the lessons and a curriculum guide with all the steps covered in class, along with instructions for project extensions. An email with class information will be sent out to each student about one week prior class. This email will contain all the information students need to prepare for our Virtual Camps. Home technical requirements for all classes are a computer (PC Windows 7 or later or Mac OSX with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM), internet (Broadband), webcam, microphone/speakers, and ZOOM installed on the computer. Are you uneasy about your test-taking skills or unsatisfied with previous ACT results? This may be the course for you. Two different course formats allow students to choose the one that best suits their learning styles and personal circumstances. Students are also able to make up any classes they miss, and all courses may be repeated online at no additional charge. Once enrolled, students are sent an access code for their class via email.
